PsychExperts & Associates, Inc., after thoroughly assessing your family’s dynamics and specific areas of concern, we offer family therapy sessions aimed at improving the parent-child relationship and increasing cohesiveness and communication within the family. Therapy is also available to establish healthy boundaries and find an acceptable balance between parental authority and child autonomy.

Therapy for the Family may include any number of family issues such as parent child conflict,  adjustment,  step-parenting and blended family adjustment issues, separation and divorce, custody disagreements, parental alienation, visitation disputes. Therapy goals include promoting overall family cohesiveness, supportive parenting, parent-child conflict resolution, and balancing family responsibilities.

Couples or Marriage counseling

According to research, depression and marital distress are positively correlated; therefore, we attempt to treat the symptoms of each individual issue, as well as aspects of the relationship and family problems concurrently.  With today’s modern family structure, couples are often faced with unforeseen issues.  Therapy may focus on a number of issues including intimacy, overall marital satisfaction, exploring patterns of communication, interactional styles, and developing commitment to change and the relationship.
